HP Z30i Monitor
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good evening,

I have an HP Z30i monitor which has recently stopped working.

When I power on the screen illuminates via the back light and i see a light band approx 1/6 of the screen width displayed in the centre of the screen.

Just curious if anyone has any ideas as to the likely problem..... Has the screen had it or is it more likely to be the electronics?

I have taken the screen apart with care and examined it in detail, ribbon cables appear correctly connected all capacitors appear in good order.

Interestingly the electronics appear to be LG and have a board number of lm300wq6-sla1.

I appreciate that the easy option is to throw it away but would like to salvage it if I can but have seen some horrendous prices for a replacement screen !!
