My Pavilion desktop would not display an image on the screen, which had been working previously.

trouble sheeting so far: I removed the graphics card, then reseated it. It started to display images normally. Then after about a minute, the screen turned snowy, then blank.
I think it might be an issue with the graphics card.
If this indeed the graphics card is bad, where can I get a replacement, and how much?

If this graphics card is no longer in production, what options do I have?

in troubleshooting, and to check if it is the graphics card, remove it and connect to the motherboard

Graphics Card
AMD Radeon™ RX 550 Graphics (2 GB GDDR5 dedicated)

you can install any equivalent graphics card, if needed
and  check manufacturer's recommendation, for a power supply unit of less than 300w which is in place

check what the manufacturer of the chosen graphics card recommends, they are not all the same
