Hp pavillion
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have an HP Pavillion and have never had an problems with it until now.

a few weeks ago i was on it and the monitor went black, i still has sound but it was as if i turned it off, not greyed out if it were loading. i had to unplug the pavillion from the wall and replug it. after that it was fine. Then it happened a week later with same discription, sound but black screen. Its happened a few more times and im not very computer savy so any info will deffinetly help. if nothing does its going back.

Yes sound has nothing to do with it as its a different circuit...I think the monitor has some bad capacitors...You need to have it checked by a technician.

I hope you have not changed any refresh rates or anything to it...Try connecting the Pavillion to a tv or other monitor and lower your resolution...then try again with the HP monitor and see if that makes a difference.

It will throttle to cool itself down...if not possible..will even shut down to prevent damage! then you will have a message on your boot screen saying what happened
