Product: HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15m-es0000 (268U2AV)

Hello, 

 

I have had the HP envyx360 15.6 inch 2 in 1 laptop for two years now. I am out of warranty. Sadly, my touchpad cursor has been acting on its own. This happens about once a week. I have uninstalled drivers and talked to people. They think I need to get a new touch pad. What should I do? They are saying it will be expensive. Is there anything I can do to fix it myself?
