HP Recommended

I have tried to connect the monitor via the HDMI and the USB ports with no success. Computer does not detect 2nd monitor.

Sorry but Windows in infamous for this -- if it does not see an external monitor and you have connected that same monitor to another PC and laptop, using the same cable, and it works on those, there is really nothing you can do to make your computer "see" it.
