HP e9180f Desktop PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Installed a ASUS GTX 1060  OC 6 GB card in my HP e9180f PC replacing the Nvidia GeForce GTS250 that comes with it. On power up I get 1 long beep and two short, repeating. No post or video. Wondering if any one else has seen this type of problem? Is it a dead card or Bios settings?

Hi:

That card requires a UEFI BIOS in order to work.

Your PC's BIOS is way outdated, and the newest Nvidia card that would work in your PC would be one of the GT 6xx models.

Thank you Paul, I was afraid it was a compatibility issue, should have asked here first what the latest updated card that would work would be. So to understand you clearly a card like a GTX 660 would work?

You're very welcome.

As long as your PC has a power supply that supports it, a GTX 660 should work.

If you want to play it safe, here is a link to a HP desktop with the same motherboard as yours, which lists the supported graphics cards.
