Is the HP Envy Laptop compatible with a stylus?

As per the service Guide: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06022687, your Notebook does not support Active Stylus Pen. But you can use a Passive Pen

A passive stylus  is a pen that acts just like a finger when touching a device screen. There is no communication between a passive stylus and a device
