Hi @Kunjal
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It sounds like your taskbar icons are missing after resetting your HP Victus laptop.
Let's try a few steps to fix this issue:
Restart Explorer.exe:
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open the Task Manager.
Look for "Windows Explorer" under the Processes tab.
Right-click it and choose Restart. This should refresh your taskbar.
Check Taskbar Settings:
Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar and select Taskbar settings.
Make sure all relevant icons (e.g., "Taskbar items" like search, task view, or widgets) are toggled on.
Scroll down to Notification area and click Select which icons appear on the taskbar—toggle on the apps you need.
Run Windows Troubleshooter:
Open Settings with Win + I.
Go to System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
Run the "System Maintenance" troubleshooter to fix system-related issues.
Update or Reinstall Graphics Driver:
Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
Expand the Display adapters section, right-click your graphics driver, and select Update driver.
If the problem persists, reinstall the driver by uninstalling it (then restart your computer to let Windows reinstall the driver automatically).
Check for Windows Updates:
Go to Settings > Windows Update.
Click Check for updates and install any pending updates. Sometimes missing updates can cause display issues.
Hopefully, one of these steps resolves the issue! Let me know if you need further help with any of these.
If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
