My laptop, with core i5 8th gen, has a very dark screen. I always need to use a flashlight to see what's on the screen. Maximizing the screen brightness doesn't even help. What do you think happened on it?

May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

 

Check-in BIOS -

 

1) Shutdown the computer. 

2) Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears. 

3) Press F10 once for BIOS. 

 

Try connecting the pc to an external monitor and check if that works.
