Unfortunately, the HP shop on Amazon Uk doesn't mentinon that they don't support Mac so I have a M27f monitor arrived today and am wondering if there is anyway to get it working with my Macbook Air or if I have to send it back>

I connected it up and went to display settings - so far so good, it shows up as a display and I can choose whether to make it the main display, extended etc.

However, it turn s black after a few seconds and doesn't switch on again.

I have checked the monitor menu and switched off autosleep and the sleep timer. I have also changed the refresh rate to 60Hz as that shows as the optimal.

Thanks,

Vik

Googling I read there are problem with Big Sur and external monitors including Dell and HP.  I am not a mac expert and I keep telling two of my kids that but they still ask me about problem with their mac books

Connect the monitor to cable TV, xbox,  a dvd player or whatever and see if the problem goes away.  If the problem goes away then try the apple forum.  If you do get it working post back here the solution.  You are not the first that has report monitors not working with your mac.

I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP
