Elite Display E231 & Compaq LA2306x

Hello, I have three HP monitors, 2 x Elite Display E231 & 1 x Compaq LA2306x.

All are working well except for the same problem, the on-board clock, used for the Sleep Timer, loses time during the day.

I assume there is a RTC backup battery/capacitor in the unit though there does not seem to be an access cover to change a battery if there is one. Maybe there is a hardware/firmware update for this?

All three monitors are left on 24/7 as the PCs they are connected to, need a monitor to allow the correct screen resolution to be maintained for remote access. On one PC, with dual screens, if one monitor is turned off, all the icons move to the other, hence the need. But I need them to sleep when not in use overnight.

If anyone knows of a fix, I'd be pleased to hear it.

Many thanks

Chas
