Monitor goes black for several seconds intermittently

HP Recommended
Pavilian Desktop TP01-1xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Installed AMD Radeon Discrete Graphics Drive update sp112789 v27.20.14528.1001 on 3-24-21.  It was listed on the HP Support Assistant as being available.  Ever since I have had intermittent issues of the Monitor going black for several seconds.  Almost like the driver fails and then restarts.  Usually happens when browsing the internet  with a browser.  Wish I had the old AMD driver available.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Have you updated Graphics and Chipset drivers?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps:

  1. From the Windows taskbar, use the search box to type in Device Manager and select it
  2. Choose the name of the driver for your video card. Right-click it and select Uninstall
  3. Use the Start menu to restart your computer
  4. Upon restart, your computer will try to reinstall the driver. If it needs additional steps, it will alert you.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
