HP EliteDisplay E223 21.5-inch Monitor
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi Everyone,

Can someone please help , I saw on this community people talking about manufacturing warranty expired because as per website check , it is all based on the time of retail purchase to be fair . I have purchased the monitor in 2021 , manufacturing date was 2019 , I am having issues with HDMI port now and I contacted HP support team and the agent I got refuses to help me saying that the warranty has expired based on manufacturing date . Can someone please help me , I have suggested them that I have  proof of purchase ( invoice) but yet , it seems like a long battle to pursue this , not sure why they are not knowledgeable like the HP expert responding on this community . Thanks in advance for the help if you can direct me to the right clientele service please

Welcome to the HP Community --

Even having purchased the product in 2021, the Warranty is long over.

These products typically come with a one year manufacturing warranty.

Product release dates (according to internal documents) vary from 2017 to 2018.

Not sure why you found one of these to purchase in 2021 -- some sellers do hang on to older products.

You can certainly opt to submit a Warranty Dispute form.

My personal opinion is that doing so will not make a difference due to the Warranty period having ended in spite of the revised purchase date.

Warranty Dispute

The original warranty date is set at manufacturing and perhaps by the merchant who sells the device to the consumer.

If the warranty details of your product are incorrect, submit a dispute through the HP warranty validation website.

Hi Dragon-Fur , thanks for your feedback

Sorry for not being precise , so as per the HP warranty check using the serial number of the product HP EliteDisplay E223 21.5-inch Monitor 1FH45A8

,Start date of warranty was April 2019 and end date May 13 2022  hence Warranty is for 3 years , not 1 year . I got my hand off the product from a reseller store in 2021 without thinking about this issue, as warranty are usually activated from the time of retail purchase as posted here on this community, so I believe if I can provide the invoice , the warranty should still be valid until 2024  is it not ? I also tried to follow your instructions below to dispute the warranty but that button/option is not available on the Canadian Site I am afraid . How else can HP assist me with this please?

You are welcome.

Precise is important in Warranties.

OK - Assuming someone can intervene, it will be up to HP.

It's not useful for me to speculate the results.
