I have an HP v19e monitor that I want to use as a 2nd monitor with Windows 11. I am having a problem with Windows not detecting when this monitor is turned off via power button.
If I turn off the 2nd monitor, my cursor still leaves my main display to this 2nd monitor when the screen border is crossed and any windows open on the 2nd monitor stay there.
If I unplug the HDMI from the 2nd monitor, my cursor correctly cannot leave my main monitor and and windows that were on the 2nd monitor move to the main monitor.
It seems my issue is tied to this monitor or the generic driver it uses because Windows does know when the HDMI is unplugged, it just does not seem to know when power is turned off. And, my old 2nd monitor behaved as expected under these conditions.
