I understand that you are having concern related to HP Monitor
There can be multiple reasons why you are getting this message
1 – The PC from where the Signal is received to monitor may have issues – check the pc with a different monitor
2 – Switch the Data cable of the monitor
3 – If still the same issue – Your Monitor requires a service or Replacement

This monitor model w2072a comes with 2 different inputs .
1 DVI-D connector
1 VGA connector
Not sure which input are you trying. You can try any of alternate of above connectors with respective cables.
Before that switch of teh monitor
Unplugg the current signal cable both from Monitor and PC side and repig back.
Check same cable on another monitor if possible.
switch on the monitor and try reseting the settings in Monitor Menu options
