z27s
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently purchased z27s monitor.  It is showing strange behavior.  the only way to bring it to life is as follows:

1. start windows in safe mode with a different monitor.

2. remove that monitor and attach z27s.  it comes on without any problem.

if I start windows in regular mode.  it doesn't come on.  if i start windows in safe mode with Z27s connected, it wont come on.  only way it will display video is that a different monitor must be connected when windows is booted in safe mode. and once the desktop is ready, you disconnect and connect this monitor and then it works.

i have never seen such behavior.  my laptop is dell xps15.  i am connecting using hdmi cable. i have never had this problem before.  is there a firmware that can be updated on the monitor?

@_ali_khawaja Peace be unto you!

I suggest you disconnect the additional monitor
Press Windows key + P
Click PC screen only

Check if works.

If that doesn't help, try reducing the resolution of the screen, it's possible resolution in use is not supported by the monitor.

And let me know how that pans out.
