HP Monitor LM9 14AA

My monitor keeps going black. If I take the  kettle lead out of the charger box and put it back in again, usually several times, the monitor starts working again. I'm worried at some point that the cable will not working altogether.  I'm not sure if it's a problem with the kettle lead or charger box. Do I need to buy an HP charger & kettle lead or can I buy an ungeneric one and would that solve the problem?

Any advice gratefully received.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the monitor goes black sometimes.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Do you mean that the monitor is not getting power? Do you see that power light on the monitor when this happens? If yes, then I recommend you update the graphics driver on your computer and check if it helps.

If no, then I recommend you contact support as it might be an issue with the power adapter or the connecter on the monitor itself.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

P.S: Welcome to the HP Support Community 😊
