Have you run diagnostics?
Tap the ESC key after powering on and press F2 to run diagnostics.
Do not allow any updates if disk or memory fail, especially a BIOS update.

If the display graphics fail during the test the problem is hardware

There is a newer UEFI diagnostics test here

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-250-g8-notebook-pc/38151396

select windows 11 and click on "expand all"

You can install the UEFI  10.3.2

If graphics test passed then update the windows driver.  If the HP Support Assistant cannot find a driver then

install either or both of the Intel and NVidia drivers

If you have NVidia

If your laptop only has Intel video
