Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey, so i have no idea what display driver i need to download for the computer and when I go to Dell's website and download the driver i supposedly need, it wont run. I tried using the NVIDIA geforce 6150se nforce 430, but that one seemed outdated. Im trying to run Fortnite on the computer, and when i use that driver, it says its out of date. Also, I have an HP w1907 monitor and when i go into device manager, it shows that in the monitor section, but it still says that its the basic display adapter. So im trying to figure out if there was any newer driver i can download for the computer to be able to run Fortnite or if I just have to stick with the 6150e driver and just buy and install a whole new one. Im really hoping I can just download a driver file and use that to update the display driver that way.

Hi:

See if this works...

Download and save, but do not run this W8 graphics driver.  That was the last one nvidia developed for that GPU.

https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/82758/en-us

Then download and install this free file utility.  The 2nd link at the top of the page is for 64 bit.

https://www.7-zip.org/

After you install 7-Zip, right click on the graphics driver file you saved.

Have 7-Zip Extract to:  and let it extract the file into its folder name.

Once that is done, go to the device manager.  Click to expand the Display Adapters device manager category.

Click on the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter listed there.  Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder that 7-Zip created.

Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and hopefully the driver will install.

Then restart the PC after the driver installs.
