pavilion p7-1297c
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I have an HP p7-1297cb with HP 2711x monitor.  All of a sudden the picture doesn't show up on the screen.  Power to the monitor is there, desktop is running fine but no picture on monitor.  Anyone ever have this issue?

@eguillo
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

  • Have you checked with alternate monitor or TV?
  • Have you made any hardware/software changes?
  • Is monitor lights powered on?
  • Have you tried checking the video cables and connector?
  • Could please check and ensure the CPU tower is functioning?

 Keep me posted for further assistance.

  • Thanks for responding.

i have tried to hook up another monitor and same response, blank screen.  The monitor lights do come on.  I can actually connect my laptop to the monitor and the monitor works fine.  All cables are secure.  I have even tried to connect dvi and vga with same response.

i can turn the tower on and force and off by keeping the button pressed.

F10 or other function commands during boot up are nonresponsive.

Any help or ideas is appreciated.
