Nvidia updates for Omen 45

I tried updating my Graphicsd card as the Nvidia app says there is a later driver than the one installed. The driver will not download - it appears to but then I get a message at the bottom of the Nvidia page saying download failed. So my question is can I update directly from Nvidia or is it HP policy to only update from the HP update application and if I can use Nvidia directly why is the download failing?

no, that's not a problem, I've been using nvidia drivers for a long time with different models!
from what you're saying, it's the download that doesn't happen, not the installation?

Try downloading directly

Thankyou (merci bien) for your reply, the real issue is that Nvidia experience app is an old version, deleted and installed new (current) version and all works well. Again thankyou for your reply.
