Pavilion 23bw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I saw that this was an issue with others in the past on an older post. There was a link to steps to follow to see what the issue is and try to resolve.

What is not the issue:

Step 1:Power (although I bought it used and I do not think it is the original power cord but I don't think that would cause the issue)

Step 2: Displaying a built-in on-screen message

Step 3: Fixing a bad video connection

Then I get to Step 4: Testing the video connection and it gives steps for Windows Vista, XP, 98 and ME.

I'm on Windows 10 so I can't follow those steps.

I tried on a different laptop and same result, the monitor stay on for a bit and then goes black and is unresponsive. I pull the power out  and then plug it back in and it comes back.
