My screen initially recognises the mac, but once disconnected it wont connect again, and then it wont connect at all- like its forgotten it.

I have tried USB-C Cord - initially worked - then wouldn't recognize it again

Tried HDMI Cord - same thing, but also a strange' ghosting on the screen' - like it was on, with my mac screen reformatting to the ratio for the HP screen, but only faint faint image of the mirrored screen in the black of the HP screen.

Have just bought another lightning cord- again - worked beautifully, and now I disconnected it as I needed to move my laptop, and now it wont reconnect, or recognise it again!!

HELP!!

@PavilionQuantum Here's a few things you need to know when using an HP monitor with a Mac device:

HP monitors are not supported in a Mac environment. However, newer Macs use graphics with VESA modes and can display to most HP LCD monitors.

  • To do this, connect the monitor to the Mac while the Mac is off, and then turn on the MAC.
  • The monitor should operate at 60Hz.The INF and software for the HP monitor are for Microsoft Windows and cannot be run in a standard MAC OS environment.
