Beste Kuroi,

Bedankt

Hi @Pjvs,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Pavilion All-in-One 27-d0010nd is crashing Photoshop when using the internal Intel UHD 630 GPU, and you want it to always use the NVIDIA 1650 instead. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Set preferred GPU in Windows

Go to Settings → System → Display → Graphics settings.

Select Classic app → browse to Photoshop.exe → click Options.

Choose High performance (NVIDIA GPU) and save.

Update NVIDIA and Intel drivers

Download the latest drivers from NVIDIA for the 1650 and Intel for UHD 630.

Outdated drivers can cause crashes when switching GPUs or rendering.

Disable internal GPU in Device Manager (optional)

If you don’t need the Intel GPU, right-click Intel UHD 630 → Disable device.

Photoshop will then automatically use the NVIDIA GPU.

Check NVIDIA Control Panel settings

Open NVIDIA Control Panel → Manage 3D Settings → Program Settings.

Select Photoshop and set the Preferred graphics processor to High-performance NVIDIA processor.

Check Photoshop GPU preferences

Open Photoshop → Edit → Preferences → Performance → Graphics Processor Settings.

Make sure it detects the NVIDIA GPU and not the Intel GPU.

Enable Use Graphics Processor.

BIOS check

Some All-in-Ones don’t allow selecting a discrete GPU as primary.

If the BIOS has no GPU option, rely on Windows and NVIDIA control panel settings instead.

Power settings

Go to Control Panel → Power Options → High Performance.

This ensures Windows doesn’t throttle the NVIDIA GPU or switch to Intel during high workloads.

I hope this helps.

Dear Kuroi,

Thank you for your quick reply.

I had already followed all your suggestions. Even after extensive help from the Adobe helpdesk and the community, we couldn't figure it out.

Until I updated the built-in GPU UHD630 again and opted for a "clean install" of the latest Intel driver. This removed all the old settings.

I hadn't done this before. Then, after a week of trying, everything worked again.

Thanks.

Regards,

Paul
