Plugging Thunderbolt G2 into Omen desktop

Omen Desktop PC880
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am working from home.  Wanted 2 monitors.  I purchased an HP Thunderbolt G2, but I can't plug it into the Omen desktop PC880.  DId i purchase the wrong thing?  Please help.  I don't know if i should return the G2, or a plug to plug into the Omen and the G2, and which plug?

@weeksd2903 I'm afraid the product you've purchased is only compatible with commercial line of products, as mentioned here:
