Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a secondary monitor connected to my AIO and at least twice daily my primary monitor will go blank, display a message "Check HDMI-In Cable" then make a popping sound. I can recover from this with a hard reset but there is obviously an underlying problem that needs fixing. I have changed the HDMI cable and still have the same problem and all drivers are up to date.

Any ideas on how to fix this or whether this is a hardware issue?

Many thanks in advance.

@pierre214

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds without any power source. This will drain out any static charges from the AIO Computer. Restart the computer and if you still see the " check HDMI cable " message, please check and press the HDMI Source Button to switch the display.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
