Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello people,

I have a question about updating my system to the latest amd video drivers. After updating everything work well until restarting the windows 10 (64bit) v1909, then windows is not booting up. I need to uninstall all video drivers and install the only video driver that I found working amd radeon video drivers v17.7. I tried many drivers from the official amd site but they are not working! Only 17.7 downloaded from HP official site is working. Even when windows update is trying to make updates the windows is crashing. Please help me find solution for this matter.

Hello Asmita6658,

I was on vacation and that's why I wasn't responding. The thing is that I already tried everything that you offered.

On windows update it is downloading drivers that are not working on that computer. However there is one driver that is working and I am using it right now it's version 17.7 and I installed it with HP support app. My problem is that everytime I need to update using windows update or I need newer version of the video drivers from amd they are not working and the windows won't boot up.

I'd suggest you try re-installing the operating system. Please back-up the data and try these steps -

1. Shutdown the computer.
2. Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears.
3. Press F11 once for System Recovery.
4. Choose the Keyboard Layout.
5. Click on Troubleshoot.
6. Go to Recovery Manager and click on System Recovery.
Note : Back-up all your data as System Recovery will delete everything that you had saved or installed on the computer.

Let me know.
