I want to change my GPU. I tried GT 1030 but it didn't work because of the version of BIOS. Can RX 460 be worked on my motherboard? (Pegatron 2ab5)

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

A RX 460 also requires a UEFI BIOS.

There are not many newer GPUs which can run on a Legacy BIOS.

Sapphire (Link) has some AMD cards that can run on either type BIOS. The R9 300X series, R9 200X series, and the R7 200X series cards have a switch for selecting the BIOS mode needed to initialize the card on a Legacy BIOS motherboard.

You would have to check the length of the prospective card and PSU requirements.

Hi,

Yes.

MSI made two 750 TI products than can run on a Legacy BIOS (Link). Scroll own to see the product number.

Don't know if the products are still in the retail pipeline. You would have to check Newegg or Amazon, or your favorite online retailer.

Regards
