HP Touchsmart
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

The brightness on my HP Touchsmart automatically goes to 100% upon the computer or waking from sleep. Also, the adjustment bar for brightness moves really slowly, compared to the volume one. Simply fiddling around in 'Adjust Screen Brightness" doesn't bare any results.

I've had and fixed this problem before. I searched online for a solution and someone said it was a bug and linked me an update to fix it. It worked perfectly. But that was 4 years ago and I just had to do a system recovery for another reason and now the brightness problem is back.
