HP LA2306x
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all

I have the same issue on my HP2306x monitor, the blue LED is blinking and I cannot get the power to turn on. Therefore I decide to repair it myself.

First try to open the cover with a flat screw driver, there is no screw apart from the 4 stand mounting screw that you will need to take out before you can open the cover.

Carefully take out the flexible cable for the screen brightness, screen data, and the power on/off button

Open the 4 screw at the side of the monitor frame and you should be able to see the power supply unit.

Open the 3 screw to take out the Power supply PCB.

Upon measuring the voltage, I found out that the 5 volts are fluctuating when the power is turn on, therefore I proceed to replace the capacitor around for the 5Volts supply which is orange colour capacitor value at 10v 1000uF ( C910). I also decide to change the main oscillation capacitor 50v 47uF ( 916 ) at the primary side as this oscillation capacitor will also influence the voltage stability.

I plug back all the connection to test and the monitor is working after that.

Hope you all will finally solve this issue instead of throwing away this wonderful monitor
