VH240a Monitor

I've followed all of the troubleshooting steps for this issue. Recently purchased a brand new VH240a monitor and connceted all of the following cables; HDMI to DVi, Audio(aux) and VGA.  All cords connected tightly and snug, still no luck.  Please help

You need speakers to have sounds and your monitor does NOT have any speakers, its specs:

The HP VH240a does in fact have speakers. I have tested the ones on my monitor and they work.

My problem was that if you use the wrong power supply, one that is under powered, the audio will not work. Make sure that the power supply provides 19V.

 

Your problem may be that the internal monitor settings are incorrect. If you go into the on-screen menu, there are some audio settings. You should make sure that the audio input is set to analog and not HDMI. Also, check the volume.
