Pavillion All in One

Hi,

I need to buy a digital pen to write on a HP Pavillion ALl in One 27 Touch Screen. I have checked the list of active pens that are compatible with different kinds of HP computers but All in One is not listed in there (this website: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05166879). So please let me know which pen will be compatible with my computer.

Thank  you!

There is no magic "alternate" document for stylus compatibility. :Crying:

Not all touchscreens support an active stylus.

I pulled one random example from the eight models I found in the HP Store and double checked the Specs for that model in two locations -- There is no mention of a supported Active Stylus.

Passive Pen / Stylus

If you do not find an active pen listed for your computer, consider the "passive" pen as mentioned in the compatibility document:  HP PCs - Touchscreen Compatibility with Pen and Stylus

Reminders:

  • Passive pen is not the same thing as an active stylus.
  • Passive pen does not act like an art pencil.
  • Passive pen does not interact with Windows Ink.
  • Passive pen can operate the desktop -- open icons, menus, activate programs.
  • Passive pen does not have a battery nor does it contain any electronics used to interface with the screen.
  • Capacitive / Passive pen tips are "fat" to allow the pen to cover enough of the screen area to activate the "touch".  (See article below for actual terms and definitions.)
  • Use your favorite search engine -- search for "active stylus versus capacitive stylus"

Could you please recommend a capacitive stylus for my pavillion all in one touchscreen?

@Daodaodao

These are pretty simple devices -- I have a passive (capacitive) stylus that I purchased for my the first iPad (several years ago); the pen works on any of my Touch Screen devices.

Find one you like, in other words.

Passive Pen / Stylus

If you do not find an active pen listed in the  compatibility document for your computer, consider the "passive" pen.
