Meanwhile you may try these steps:
Restart Your Device
- Sometimes, a simple restart after an update can fix issues caused by temporary glitches. Make sure to restart your device and check if the touch functionality returns.
Check for Touchscreen Driver Updates
- It's possible that the driver was affected during the update.
- Right-click on the Start menu and choose Device Manager.
- Look for Human Interface Devices and expand it.
- Find HID-compliant touch screen. Right-click it and select Update driver.
- Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
- Restart your system after the update completes.
Re-enable the Touchscreen (For Windows)
Sometimes, the touchscreen might be disabled accidentally.
- In Device Manager, find HID-compliant touch screen under Human Interface Devices.
- Right-click and select Enable device (if the option appears).

Check for Updates
If the update might have caused the issue, there could be a patch available to fix it:
- For Windows: Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates.
Calibrate the Touchscreen (Windows)
- For Windows:
- Open Control Panel and select Tablet PC Settings.
- Under the Display tab, click on Calibrate and follow the on-screen instructions.
Perform a System Restore (Windows)
If the update caused the issue and you can't fix it with other methods:
- Open Control Panel and go to Recovery.
- Select Open System Restore and choose a restore point before the update was installed.
- Follow the prompts to restore the system to that point.
Check for Physical Damage
Ensure that your screen is not physically damaged. If you have a screen protector, try removing it to check for any interference.
Run Hardware Troubleshooter (Windows)
Windows has built-in troubleshooters that can help detect hardware issues:
- Open Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Select Hardware and Devices and run the troubleshooter.
Reinstall the Touchscreen Driver
If none of the above work:
- For Windows: In Device Manager, right-click the HID-compliant touch screen and select Uninstall.
- Restart your system, and Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.
