How do I stop system shut down when using video camera? Can I upgrade the graphics video card? Or is there a download that can be used? Thank You.

Hi @jacket12

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query in this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the computer is shutting down when you are using the video camera.

Don’t worry, we will work together to resolve this issue and It’s a pleasure to assist you in this regard.

The different notifications behind VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE, i.e, atikmpag.sys usually come when you use an incorrect graphics card driver.

I recommend you to update the graphics card driver from the link provided below and check.

Tried the link  you provided but it only listed for windows 7 and 8. I am using windows 10. I checked the updates  in device manager and all were ok and up to date?  So I guess I would need a different graphics card? Thanks

Thanks for the reply, do you get the error when the web camera is not connected?

Does your computer work with the camera connected?
