Hi, All,
I'm trying to get my touchscreen to work again.
My desktop model is labeled "Touch", and it has worked before -- yet under Settings>About, "pen and touch" now claims "no pen or touch input is available for this display". Under Device Manager, there is no touchscreen driver listed under Human Interface Devices.
It seems to me I need to reinstall that driver. Is that correct? And if so, what's it called and where can I find it?
Thank you,
Krista

@Kdana -- is this page: HP Pavilion All-in-One - 24-b027c (Touch) (ENERGY STAR Manuals | HP® Customer Support
the page that has device-drivers for your computer's hardware?

??? That's the manual page that says it's for my model. Are you saying you know what driver I should load, or are you just showing me the manual?
The only touchscreen drivers I find there fail to load:
"This touch panel IC firmware update is for ILITEK only. We identified your
touch panel IC is not ILITEK. Please ignore this firmware update program and exit this program."

@Kdana -- a "firmware" update will update the software inside the touchpad that is the interface between the actual hardware and the signals that it sends to Windows.
A "device-driver" update will update Windows to recognize the signals from the touchpad, to make it usable.
That is the difference.
