HP Pavilion AIO 27-a031 (Touch)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was reloading my HP Pavilion AIO 27-a031 (Touch) to give to my son and when I checked for driver updates via HP Support Assistant it listed a BIOS driver update as "CRITICAL". After I ran the driver update, I noticed the touchscreen was no longer working. I thought this was a driver issue and attempted installing from windows catalog update to no avail. I decided to simply reload it again and install drivers one at a time. Needless to say, the touch aspect never came back. I noticed the HID Compliant Touch Screen is missing in the device manager and was unable to get this to show. I am sure the touch was working prior to running the BIOS update. I ran both the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics and the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI. No touchscreen component shows. Touchscreen does not work pre-boot as well, so it is clear the update caused the board to not recognize the touchscreen. I attempted rolling back the driver via external drive and received an error "unable to open bios signature file". I attempted rolling back the BIOS by holding the "Windows + B" keys simultaneously on start-up and received the beeping but after about 90 seconds the PC simply turned itself off, nothing was ever displayed. There has to be some sort of workaround to rollback my BIOS firmware using an earlier version or even factory reset it.

PS: Yes, I understand the BIOS warning states you will not be able to roll back after installing it.

PS: I also was under the impression that the version I installed was compatible with my computer. I did not replace any hardware on this PC so it should have been FULLY compatible.
