Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just got this laptop new but open box, I have installed new school-required hardware & software (R, RStudio, Spotify, Zoom, Discord, Microsoft 365 things), but that's it. I realized my touchscreen stopped working, so I did the restart and update. My touchscreen started working right after the update & restart, but has since stopped again.

I already checked the Device Manager, looked through the Human Interface Devices list, I don't even see anything that looks like it's related to a touchscreen. 1 of the 2 drivers titled "I2C HID Device" has an error-symbol on it, nothing else seems out of place.

Is this fixable or should I bring it to Best Buy? The touchscreen was a big component of why I bought this laptop but the fact that it's not even consistently working after 3 days is pretty worrying.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

I understand that your HP notebook display is not working correctly. I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue.
The last thing I can suggest trying to restore a computer back to the factory default, which will isolate whether it’s a software or hardware issue.

The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
