Product: Hp 15-f272wm
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just recently purchased this laptop, would like to play my daughters movies on here to the tv, but im unable to. Do i have to download an app to play dvds, if so what is the safest one. Why isnt the movie automatically popping up? Please help me!

Welcome to HP Support Forum. The following link shows its specs:

Firtly it does not and can not play BlueRay dics's. It can only play CD's and DVD's. You don't need any software because machine has CyberLink PhotoDirector; CyberLink PowerDirector; CyberLink YouCam; Netflix; TripAdvisor; CyberLink Power Media Player pre-installed.

 

You can open CyberLink Power Media Player to play DVD disc's. Now please try

 

(a) Hit Win key,

(b) Scroll down and expand CyberLink folder,

(c) Open DVD and play.

 

Next time it may open automatically BUT I normally do not allow my machines to open CD's or DVD's automatically to avoid any nasty program/virus.
