I have an Envy Recline that was updated to Win 10. I'm trying to connect a second monitor through the HDMI port on the left side of the primary monitor. The second monitor sees the primary monitor, but the PC can't detect the second monitor. I'm thinking I need a driver update. The HP site will only show this PC has Win 8 and won't let me see any drivers for Win 10. Any advice as to why the PC can't detect the second monitor?

Thank you for your reply and questions. This is not a laptop but an all in one desktop. The second display has both an HDMI and VGA input. I am using the HDMI cable that came with the second display. I get a response from the second display when I plug the other end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the all in one PC. When I go to settings and tell it to detect other displays it says, "no other displays detected". I updated the drivers in device manager, and it says they are up to date. I ran diagnostics from the HP site and got no errors. I would think the video card in the all in one PC would support a second display because it has an HDMI port. This model does not have a VGA port so I can't try a VGA cable. Is it possible this PC's HDMI port is for input only? Thank you for any help you can give me.
