HP 17 Laptop PC 17-cp1000 (4V7P0AV)

I'm trying to connect a vga projector to my laptop thru a IKLING connected to a usb C  Seems that the pc cant find or detect the vga display... any help would be appreciated....

The specs of your machine is

It ONLY has  (1) USB 3.2 Gen 1.0 Type-C port; 5 Gbps signaling rate (data transfer only; charging or external monitors not supported) port therefore you can NOT connect USB-C to any display device (with or w/o adapter/hub).

For information about using your USB Type-C features, go to http://www.hp.com/support, and follow the
instructions to find your product.

 

I went there and got lost...

 

Guess I'll have to buy a HDMI to VGA adapter...
