Video Card

HP Recommended
XW9400
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I have a problem with my XW9400 workstation. The present Nvidia FX 1500 video card no longer receives driver updates and therefore does not work well and often the screen goes black. I would like to know with which video card I can replace it? NForce Pro 3600 motherboard. Thanks to those who want to answer.

Here is the support page for that PC.

In the graphics section category, there are several choices listed for graphics cards that are approved to work in the configuration.

This is a pretty old system, so most likely the choices will be for used cards.

If I put in a P4000 Nvidia could it be good or the PCI port is too old PCI 2 16x? To reboot the system I would also like to add a 512 GB HD SSD

Considering the age of that system and the cost of the video card, I would think a more modern system would be needed to get the benefit of that card.

As far as the SSD, it probably can be done, but that old system cannot possibly use the SSD at rated speeds, though it would be faster than a regular hard drive.
