Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After recently being promoted to update my AMD Radeon Driver my computer started having major problems with freezing at start-up and in use. I have since disabled both drivers (R5 435 and R7 Graphics) and the system is working ok (no freezing) although now my sound has stopped.

I can manage without sound but would really like a solution with the Drivers please anyone 🙂

@Aikiwodge I suggest you go to your Device Manager to check if any driver listed under Display adapter. If there is no driver listed, please use Scan for hardware changes in the Action Button on the top. If there is a driver listed, please right click it to update the driver.

Then you can run the HP Support Assistant to update your drivers.

Also,  check if all Windows Updates installed.

Did you install updated drivers from the HP website or the AMD website? I would suggest downloading and installing the latest drivers from the AMD website if you haven't already.

Hi - driver were listed and I have updated them. Same problem. I have also removed all relevant drivers with specialist software recommended by AMD and re-installed but same problem. For the past weeks I have disabled drivers which sorted the problem but also disabled my sound. This morning there was an auto-update that has now got my sound working and the PC seems ok. But that occurred last time on first re-boot then problem continued. Watch this space!

Yes - updated from AMD - see response above. Thanks

Problem persists even after having downloaded latest driver from AMD. In fact it's got worse, the screen us upside down. The only way to sort the problem is to disable the driver then I have no sound!
