HP ENVY 13-ah1000 series
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm looking to purchase a portable monitor to allow me to have multiple displays (extended desktop). I'm unsure what spec to look for to ensure the portable monitor is compatible with my laptop. I have a type c connector, therefore do I need to look for a HMDI to type c portable monitor or will a type c to type c be sufficient enough to have an extended desktop? For example, would the ASUS MB168B 15.6in portable monitor be compatible to achieve multiple displays?

@GD85

What EXACTLY is your HP ENVY 13-ah1000 ? Normal HP ENVY 13-ah1xxx machines only has USB-C Gen 1 port and this port does not support video out. You need more hardware.

Regards.

Thanks Banhien!

My HP ENVY 13-ah1xxx came with a type c to HDMI adapter. Would this help with video out if the portable monitor has a HDMI cable?

Thanks

GD
