Why Do HP All-In-One Screens Develop Fuzzy Black Vertical Bars?  Why does it wait until after the warranty expires to actually fail.  The PC has been sitting OFF for several months; it has, maybe, a few days time of use... surely under 100 hours of use.  I decide to use it today and now there's a black fuzzy vertical bar top to bottom on my screen.  This is a problem others have reported, yet I can't find a fix.  And why should WE, the consumer, have to be the ones to fix EXPENSIVE PCs with inferior parts.  They recall cars, we need to start recalling crappy products, such as "HP ENVY All-in-One Desktop 34-c0xxx", product number 319N5AA#ABA.

Companies like HP take no longer take responsibility for the products they sell.  It's shameful.

Hi @EHCH-PEE-SUX,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It's frustrating to encounter issues like fuzzy black vertical bars on your HP ENVY All-in-One Desktop 34 screen. There could be several reasons for this issue, ranging from hardware defects to software glitches. Here are some possible causes and solutions.

Hardware Defect: The issue might be due to a malfunctioning component, such as the display panel or the graphics card.

Driver or Software Issue: Sometimes, outdated or corrupt display drivers or software can cause display problems.

  • Solution: Try updating your graphics drivers to the latest version from the HP website or using Windows Update. Additionally, you can try resetting the display settings to their default values.

Electromagnetic Interference: Nearby electronic devices or electromagnetic fields can sometimes cause interference with the display, leading to issues like fuzzy bars.

  • Solution: Move any electronic devices away from the HP ENVY All-in-One Desktop 34 to see if the issue resolves. Additionally, try using the computer in a different location to see if the problem persists.

Overheating: Over time, excessive heat buildup can damage internal components, leading to display issues.

  • Solution: Ensure that the computer's ventilation is not obstructed and that the cooling system is functioning properly. Consider using a laptop cooling pad or additional fans to improve airflow.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
