HP Envy 700-074
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if my PC, the HP Envy 700-074, would possibly be compatible with the GeForce GT 1030 2GB graphics card. I desire to be able to use this old thing to possibly play any computer game in anything other than this dreaded 480p. I have left everything inside the computer alone ever since I have purchased it. Here are the specs for the PC: https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c03787848 ; And here is the graphics card: https://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-1030/specifications

Thank you very much,

Terek

My only question would be, how come the HP specs page for this PC states that I have all of the following requisites for this graphics card?

Thank you for the additional information, @Terek.

You are absolutely correct!  I don't know what happened, but I evidently looked at the specs for another computer.  I appologize for the error.

Yes, the GT 1030 should work fine in your computer.  In fact, here is an EVGA video card that would give you a bigger performance boost for not much more money.  It will work with your 300W PSU, as well.
