Product: HP z27 4k

I got this monitor a couple months ago and the USB-C cable that came with it doesn't send data, I tried it out with a couple different machines and none of them worked, HDMI works fine however. I don't know if this is a cable issue or an issue with the ports since I don't have another USB-C cable that sends data. Was wondering if other's had issues and got resolutions? Is there a way to get another cable shipped if that is the problem?
