Z40c G3 Monitor

Hello

I recently purchased the z40c G3 monitor.

I have a HP Zbook g7 Laptop with Windows 10 Enterprise on it and a HP Z2 g4 Tower workstation plugged into the USB - C ports of the monitor with the dedicated thunderbolt cables.

I also have a corded mouse and a corded keyboard plugged directly into the USB A ports on the monitor both are z series.

On both devices I downloaded and installed HP display and HP Bridge apps to be able to seamlessly switch form one PC to the other and use the same mouse and keyboard. The apps seem to be installed correctly and do not produce any errors.

What happens is: If I have both PC and laptop on I only can work with one, if I change input source from the HP display app, I ca see the 2nd screen , but immediately mouse and keyboard stop working. They only work if I unplug them and plug them back in again. at times the image also does not appears , but it does as soon as I unplug and then plug the thunderbolt cable back in. The behaviour is the same on laptop and tower.

I checked with other Thunderbolt 4 cables. graphic cards are dedicated Nvidia and both tower and laptop PCs support thunderbolt connections.

Any help to avoid unplugging and re-plugging all the time is apprechiated.

Thank you in advance
