Can I connect a acer zx272 gaming monitor to my desktop

@cobrapsycho -- short answer: yes.

This assumes that one of the video-outputs from your computer (VGA? DVI? HDMI? DisplayPort?) match one of the video-input ports on your monitor, and that you have a compatible cable.

Note that some cables are "hybrid" -- e.g., HDMI at one end and DisplayPort at the other end, or HDMI at one end and DVI at the other end.

hi

I'm assuming @cobrapsycho  that if you're asking here, you have no idea what exactly is or isn't?
I would rather say, yes, but maybe...
If you have this computer model, you only have:

 HP Pavilion 550-a114 Desktop PC Product Specifications

Camphor2 back I/O ports

  • 2 VGA
  • 3 DVI-D

Depending on the model, for example this one, (check which model exactly you have) you cannot connect it directly, to the computer you will need a converter, most certainly

ZX272 sbmiiphx

HDMI, Displayport
