I have hp 240 laptop, I purchased an hdmi splitter to display on two monitors. 

It workrd partially because both monitors work but the computer detect them as one. I cant expand the display. 

is it possible on this model?

HDMI splitter is a joke, I don't know why they sell it. Anyway, what is the generation of your 240 machine ? I need to know ITS generation to work out which ports it has.
