HI @M24fwmonitor,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot your HP M24fw monitor that won't turn on:
Check Power Connections:
- Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the monitor and the power outlet.
- Try plugging the monitor into a different power outlet to rule out a faulty outlet.
- If possible, try using a different power cable to check if the cable itself is the issue.
Inspect the Power Button:
- Make sure you are pressing the correct power button.
- Press the power button firmly and see if there are any signs of life, such as a power LED indicator lighting up.
Reset the Monitor:
- Disconnect the power cable from the monitor.
- Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds to drain any residual power.
- Reconnect the power cable and try turning the monitor on again.
Check for External Damage:
- Inspect the power cable and monitor for any visible damage that might be causing the issue.
Use a Different Power Source:
- Try connecting the monitor to a different power strip or directly to a wall outlet.
Test with a Different Device:
- If you have another monitor, connect it to the same power source and device to see if it works. This can help determine if the issue is with the monitor or the power source.
Factory Reset:
- If the monitor has a menu button, you might be able to perform a factory reset. This usually requires navigating through the on-screen display (OSD) menu, which might not be possible if the monitor doesn't power on.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
